Creditbit Users Can Now Stake Their Coins And Enjoy Trezor Hardware Wallet Security

by on May 3, 2017

The Creditbit ecosystem continues to fire on all cylinders as of late. It is now possible to stake CreditBit by using a Trezor hardware wallet. Anyone using this method will earn a guaranteed 12% yearly interest. That is a far more favorable rate compared to a savings account or most other types of investment.

Creditbit and the Trezor Hardware Token

Anyone who owns Creditbit at this point has already made one of the smartest decisions of their life. The deal only gets sweeter now that it becomes possible to stake CRB and earn a 12% yearly interest. More importantly, this process is done in a completely passive manner. Making your money work for you and generate profits is always a good option to pursue.

To make use of this new feature, users need to generate a wallet on MyEtherWallet. They can then unlock the wallet with the Trezor hardware client.  Every cryptocurrency enthusiast needs a Trezor in their life, as it is one of the most secure hardware wallets in existence. Once the user linked their Trezor to the MyEtherWallet address, they can export the public key for said account.Unlocking the address is done by entering the PIN code used in the Trezor hardware wallet.

The MyEtherWallet platform lets users send tokens to their generated address. Since Creditbit is now an Ethereum-based token, it becomes easy to fund the wallet with CRB. Users can effectively sign off on this transaction by using their Trezor hardware wallet. You will need a small ETH balance on the account as it is used to pay the gas fees, though.

Even More Good News For Creditbit

Having the option to leverage the security provided by Trezor is quite significant for Creditbit. This also means everyone can now move their CRB balance into proper storage, rather than keeping it in an online wallet. Using a wallet address you fully control is always the best course of action. A big step forward for the Creditbit ecosystem as a whole, that much is certain.

This news comes at a time when the CRB value is attracting more attention. Right now,  one CRB is valued at US$0.97, or 0.00066399 BTC. That is a 4.12% increase compared to 24 hours ago. The past few weeks have been quite exciting for Creditbit community members. Now that Trezor wallets can be used for additional ecurity, the price of CRB may continue to go up over the coming weeks.
